Like most of you, I too gave up my new year resolution many times when it came to fitness.
A year ago, I was discussing this issue with a disheartened outlook with some of my colleagues at the CSS Corp cafeteria, but then I realized that many others were in the same boat.

All of these questions are overwhelming and can be discouraging.
However, I got all the answers when I received the 2018 Chennai Marathon coupon from CSS Corp. That was a first time for me and many others – completing a 10 km marathon. I was enthusiastic in the beginning, however, was exhausted in the first 4 km. Some discontinued and many others, including me, took more than 2 hours to complete the race.
That day I took a resolution to practice consistently and complete the 10 km marathon next year without stopping. So, I started practicing every Sunday morning with other participants. We gradually increased the distance from running 5 km a day to 10 km over a period of 6 months. We also created a group named, “Fitness Freaks”, which gave me more confidence as we were all in it together!
As a result, more and more colleagues got inspired by our story and the group size increased from 20 to 52. Our steady practice strengthened our muscles and elevated our endurance level. In the January 2019 Chennai Marathon, I, along with my teammates, successfully completed half a marathon (21.5 km) without any breaks!
We redefined our limit!
Now we are preparing for the 2020 full Marathon (42 km). In addition to this, we also conduct private marathons within the CSS team every quarter and, so far, we have conducted four 10 km marathons.
Limit is just an illusion and we discovered this with team effort. It motivated us to face challenges bravely, both, in personal and professional life.
